Indo American Association of Delaware receives requests from US and India based Charity Organizations / Non-Profit Associations for dissemination of information to its members. This page reflects the requests received. IAAD is doing this in good faith. We have neither verified the organizations nor do we support them. I write to you on behalf of Godparents.in which is an online platform with a mission to bring together Indian NGOs and potential godparents to create opportunities for millions of underprivileged children who otherwise do not have access to even the most basic necessities of life. We request your help in spreading the word about Godparents.in among your association members and people in the community you live in.

Godparents.in started in August 2009 as a voluntary initiative by a group of young professionals in Mumbai. In a short span of time, leveraging on word-of-mouth networking, we have been able to raise Rs. 16 lakhs through individual donations which has fully supported the education of 256 underprivileged children across 14 member NGOs. For our efforts, we were awarded the prestigious 'Prudential Exceptional Fund Raiser Award 2009' - the first time for an Indian NGO. To this day, Godparents.in is managed and run voluntarily by an ever-growing group of young working professionals - which is why we are able to do what we do at extremely low costs.
