This page contains Cultural Program Details and Application Forms for Choreographers participating in IndiaFest 2012.

The following links gives relevant information for the teams presenting cultural items during IndiaFest 2012.

Stage Details:

  1. There is a massive (24 ft X 13 ft) HD projector screen above the stage where you can show the video, but it will not be a back drop of the stage. You can show the video clip before you begin the program. During the show, the screen will be showing the dance / program that is going on the stage. If you need to show the video during the dance, we can make the stage go dark (variable focus spotlight is also available) and show the video and then again switch back the lights on the stage.
  2. There will be HD TV monitors in the Holding area behind the stage and in the Green Room, so the lined up participants and the participants getting ready will not miss what is going on stage.
  3. The size of the stage is 40' x 28'. The stage marley (sheet) to make the stage floor smoother will be 32' x 20' (since the heavy dancing will be concentrated towards the center of the stage) and the marley cost goes up if we try to cover the whole stage with it. The sheet is thin and it will be taped to the floor to avoid tripping on the edges.
  4. We have booked the hall for Friday too, so the teams can do a rehearsal and the A/V system can be checked out in advance. The A/V system is similar to what was provided during IF 2011. A master DVD will be given to IAAD.
  5. The hall seating is for approx 3500 people with 500 seats in the flat area in front of the stage. We can position the chairs to leave space between the chairs and the stage or behind the chairs (as in Chase Center) for holding the Bhangra workshop. You can decide this layout a couple of weeks before the event.
